Totally messed up!

I was working on finishing the top of my snowball quilt tonight.  I had just finished ironing the last bit of the second border when I realized that I had totally screwed up!!!  One row of my snowballs was perfectly wrong!  The green snowballs were aligned with the green, and the cream snowballs with the cream. How in the world did I not notice that before??  I had spent time working on it, but obviously paid NO attention.
I knew immediately that I would not be able to live with such a major flaw, so I decided to fix it.  I figured I could take out a row, make another cream block to add to the row, and carefully piece it back together.  I proceeded to rip out an entire row.  It wasn't until I had ripped out the row that I realized that I had ripped out the WRONG row!!  Ahhhh  how did I do that?  Am I totally loosing my brain?  I then had to rip out the correct row.  Then I began to rip out the end block of the row that needed fixing, and I started ripping out the wrong block... seriously... what is wrong with me?
Needless to say, I am done in for tonight.  Sewing it all back together will need to wait for another day.  Tomorrow maybe?

  1. I'm sorry...please forgive me???? Please??? I laughed...but not in a mean way. And seriously...you still want to tackle it today? I might have just put it in a box in the garage. I've been there, done that before. I'm truly sorry for you. If I was there, I would have done the ripping for you.

I wasn't super mad or anything.... just dumbfounded. I seriously thought someone came in and messed it up. I laugh now.

  3. That is funny and ...more funny, I know what you mean about being dumbfounded, you want to get outside your body, whack yourself upside the head and throttle yourself, right? Does that kind of describe that feeling? I can totally see you being driven crazy by that! Oh...I suppose while you were on the outside of your body you could get yourself come chocolate to make it all better :)

  4. I had to rip out the seam on a dress for Katie twice today. I ripped it out, then sewed it on wrong again and had to rip it out and redo it. I was feeling really annoyed about it but am doing better now that I heard how much seam ripping you did today:) Your facebook status about procrastination motivated me to go get the dishes done, so thanks!
